Kids InfoBits is a resource designed for novice information seekers that has an amazing collection of resources designed just for kids.  It features a developmentally appropriate interface, premier reference content, and the best magazines for elementary students.  The database is organized in a way that is easy for kids to conduct research and make it fun too.

Searchasaurus

Searchasaurus is an online resource that contains complete articles from more than 80 popular elementary school magazines, such as Cobblestone, Ranger Rick, and Weekly Reader.  Additionally, Searchasaurus features Funk and Wagnalls New World Encyclopedia and includes the Encyclopedia of Animals, providing students with easy -to-read entries written specifically for kids.  Searchasaurus was designed    especially for elementary school students and provides a safe, trustworthy environment for students to look up articles and facts for class projects or everyday studies.  A far better alternative to websites and search engines, it provides students with easy to use features and age appropriate content from the world's leading magazines and reference book.  It's a wonderful tool for help with homework and answering questions about science, history, animals, art, music and more.

Need Help with your Country Report?

The Gold Coast Library can help you prepare your country report for school.  The database, Global Road Warrior, has information on the governments, geography and cultures of 175 countries.  You can learn about sports, gift giving, food and recipes, holidays and festivals, superstitions and folklore, and much more.

Looking to make your report stand out?  Download images of the country's coins and bills to print and include in your report.  There are thousands of colorful photographs, flags and maps available, too.  You'll also find interesting recipes.  In addition, there are fun facts on activities such as sports.
